The Shoe... BEFORE BAND CAMP... Nice laces. White. Arch support. - AFTER MARCHING SEASON... Don't look inside. Laces, permanently knotted & frayed. Sometimes you can see your toes through this. Hahaha! What color did you say it was??? IT AIN'T ANYMORE!!!

COMMENTARY:

Anecdote time. For eighth grade I bought two pairs of sneakers. I ended up wearing them all throughout high school during marching band season. They held up okay for a while but the last two years they were really falling apart, and I was only wearing them out of a sense of spiritual obligation. Then I threw them away before college. It's a good story.
