People hear what they're conditioned to hear. (Based on an actual experience)
"My favorite part of band is the..."
TO A FELLOW BANDMATE
"...SECT-ION BONDING!" (I agree)
TO ANYONE ELSE
"...SEX-'N' BONDING!" (WTF)
Though perhaps it would inspire a few people to join!
This is as good as any of a strip to end this comic on. This is the very last comic in the notebook, half an empty page under it, three quarters of an empty book behind it. At least it went out with a "bang," heh heh, a "bang."
Then I stopped working on this and never took a pencil to this whole thing ever again.
I moved on after this was finished to a novel I was working on, and then a project which had no name at the time. That project is now my main creative focus, and is quite distant from this old collection in terms of both subject matter and appearance.
Check it out if you'd like, I think it's pretty good. And that's that, that's the end of the whole thing. You just read all of Band Geeks Anonymous. You don't get a prize, except for some vague intangibles like "knowledge" and "amusement" or perhaps "sense of relief in coming to the end of this crazy train."
Thanks for checking this out.
